Andy Fraser, former bass player for the legendary Free, has written and recorded the Christmas track 'Take Me Home For Christmas'.
The message of the song is two-fold. Firstly, it is a call to brings the troops back home but secondly the lyrics deal with two gay soldiers in Iraq and their fear of being discharged from the military.In a statement, Fraser says "In the spirit of the season, which is for giving and not filling your pockets in the name of the 'baby Jesus', this song and video is a Worldwide free download to everyone, everywhere as a Xmas gift, and a wake-up call to the U.S. to get in line with every other country in Nato except Turkey, to drop this silly "don't ask, don't tell" discriminatory policy. It's the 21st century already!!! And most of all - "Bring our troops home". This nonsense has gone on long enough".
