The lead singer for Melbourne metal band The Red Shore, has died in a tragic bus crash in New South Wales today.
The band were on tour with US metal outfit All Shall Perish when their bus crashed on the Pacific Highway north of Coffs Harbour at around 7am this morning.The lead singer of The Red Shore was Dao Morris. Also killed was a merchandiser for the band.
It is believed that 7 other people were injured in the accident.
The bus rolled and then crashed into a tree, killing one person instantly and trapping the other, who died one hour later in hospital.
The Red Shore were on their Christmas Carnage tour with US meal band All Shall Perish. No members of the US band were involved in the bus.
The accident happened at Cunninghams Bridge, 1km north of Coffs Harbour. Police shut the Pacific Highway to northbound traffic.
The bands had played in Brisbane last night and were scheduled to play at Herman's Bar in Sydney tonight.
