Powderfinger will head back to the studio later this year to start work on the follow-up to 2003's Vulture Street.
Guitarist Darren Middleton has confirmed to Undercover that Powderfinger will begin work on the new record in November, and expect to have the first of the new music released by April 2007.The band has been in hiatus these last two years while individual members have pursued solo project. Middleton released the critically acclaimed album by his other band Drag, lead singer Bernard Fanning had a massive solo hit with the album Tea and Sympathy as well as being part of The Wrights.
Fanning's Tea and Sympathy has just been released on Lost Highway records in the USA. He will embark on a promo tour and perform showcases for the record next month.
