California punk band Pennywise have departed their label of 15 years, Epitaph, for an adventure in MySpace for the US market.
The band's 9th studio album will be distributed digitally to MySpace users via mobile content company Textango.CD copies of the album will be distributed to stores via MySpace Records, the new label from the social networking company.
Pennywise will maintain its current distribution network outside the USA. In Australia, the band's releases are distributed by Shock Records.
Pennywise formed in 1988, taking their name from the monster in the Stephen King novel It.
They signed with Epitaph Records, the label owned by Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz, in 1991.
