Yesterday, Undercover reported on the death of Donda West, the mother of rapper Kanye West. Today it has been revealed that the rap matriarch died from complications from cosmetic surgery.
Donda West died on Saturday. She was 58 years old.The surgeon's name has not been released but it is understood that a number of Beverly Hills plastic surgeons knocked back the job because she had a pre-existing condition.
An autopsy will be done of Wednesday.
Kanye's 2005 album 'Late Registration' featured the tribute to his mother 'Hey Mama'. The lyrics read "Hey, Mama, I wanna scream so loud for you/ Cuz I'm so proud of you/ I know I act a fool/ But I promise you I'm going back to school/ I appreciate what you allow for me/ I just want you to be proud of me."
There has been no public statement from Kanye to date. His record label Def Jam released a short statement saying "The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of grief."
