The postponed Led Zeppelin concert as a tribute to the late Ahmet Ertegun will now take place on December 10 in London.
The show, which was originally scheduled for November, was postponed last week after guitarist Jimmy Page fractured his finger.Page has been requested to refrain from playing for three weeks, which has meant that the date for the historic show had to be moved.
The specialist treating Mr. Page said in a statement, "I have examined the fracture to Mr. Page's finger, and it is my opinion that with proper rest and treatment, he will be ready to resume rehearsing in three weeks time, and thus able to perform on December 10."
Jimmy Page added, "I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks. However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high standards for ourselves, and we feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal, and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to."
Led Zeppelin announced in September that they were getting mark together to pay tribute to Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records, who first signed the band.
The show will also feature Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings, Paul Rogers, Paolo Nutini and Foreigner.
All tickets for the original November 26 show are valid for the new date.
Any ticket holders unable to attend will be given a full refund.
A new ballot will take place on November 15th for the returned tickets. The ballot winners will be selected from the original registrants.
