Meek electronic wizard Moby finally collects his greatest hits for a late 2006 release.
The little vegan that could, who burst onto the world stage with 1999's 'Play' after a decade of slogging in the clubs, has decided to finally release a greatest hits album. Despite the fact that 'Play' was a gargantuan success, going double platinum in the US and as a hit worldwide, the Greatest Hits only features four tracks from the album, 'Honey', 'Porcelain', 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad' and 'Bodyrock'.'Play' is purported to be the first album to have every song licensed for a commercial venture so it's surprising that regardless of the blanket airtime for most of the album's songs he ignored so many. Other tracks on the fifteen-track hit parade include his first charting single 'Go', the biggest song from 2002's '18' album 'We Are All Made Of Stars', and only a couple from 2005's 'Hotel'.
The collection will also feature new song 'New York, New York' with new wave punk legend Debbie Harry on guest vocals. The track is mooted for release as a single in late-October.
