Respected UK electronic act Underworld postpone European dates due to illness.
The duo were well on the comeback trail with their first all-new album in five years, 'Oblivion With Bells,' and the attendant tours, but seems like someone might have thrown a black cat under a ladder this year. First Rick Smith was injured in a riot at an Athens festival, now pneumonia has grounded the band before their extended European tour.Underworld themselves announced that the shows have had to be cancelled due to "severe illness". According to the Mojo concerts website, Smith has been suffering pneumonia for some time.
Underworld cancelled dates from October 26 to November 17 in Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Holland, South Korea and their appearance at the I Love Techno festival in Belgium. Their Japan tourdates, from November 21 to 24, aren't cancelled as yet.
