Troubled rapper T.I. has been released on a whopping $US3 million bail.
The Grammy-winning artist had been held for two weeks after allegedly organising the purchase of three machine guns via an intermediary. Appearing outside an Atlanta court to a small group of fans, T.I - real name Clifford Harris - appeared relieved, telling reporters, "I look forward to getting this (case) behind me and we move forward."He will be under house arrest at his home in Henry County, Georgia, and will be submitted to electronic surveillance. A private surveillance company will also be monitoring his whereabouts.
"You are going to be under home incarceration that is going to be governed by an active GPS (Global Positioning System) at your cost," Judge Alan Baverman said.
T.I. has pleaded not guilty to the charges, for which he faces 30 years in prison.
