Operator Please Win ARIA For Breakthrough Artist - Single

Operator Please have scored their first ARIA Award for the song 'Just A Song About Ping Pong'.

The band formed at high school after guitarist Amandah Wilkinson needed to put a group together fast to enter a band competition.

The newly formed band cut their teeth rehearsing in the school practice room at lunch time.

Operator Please beat Kate Miller-Heidke, Small Mercies, Something About Numbers and Damien Leith to take home the award.
