'Last King Of Scotland' star James McAvoy looks set to play Kurt Cobain in the forthcoming biopic of the late grunge icon.
McAvoy, who bears a passing resemblance to the Nirvana singer, is a Scottish actor who also starred in 'Atonement', as well as the television comedy-drama 'Shameless'. At 28, he is already older than Cobain was when he committed suicide in 1994.Courtney Love will be executive producer for the film, which is being made by Universal Pictures. It's based on the acclaimed biography 'Heavier Than Heaven' by rock journalist Charles Cross. The screenwriter is David Benioff ('Troy', 'The 25th Hour').
