UK's Wiredaisies have signed with Merovingian Music and will release a combination of their first two albums for the American market.
The band is best known for its UK club hit 'Gay Boy'.Wiredaisies were discovered by Queen's Roger Taylor. Taylor spotted them in a bar in Cornwell and introduced them to Queen manager Jim Beach.
Beach had just started a digital record label Transistor Project and signed the band.
Merovingian Music is the new company set up by Jack Ponti. The label has partnered with Caroline Records for distribution through EMI in the United States. The label also boasts Sebastian Bach, Kittie, Supagroup, No Hollywood Ending and Anthony Hamilton.
Wiredaisies released the first album 'Just Another Day' in 2003. It went to number one on UK's iTunes chart and also topped the French chart.
In 2006, the band went on tour with Robbie Williams, giving them their first taste of stadium audiences.
Last year, they started work on the second album, which was released through Transistor in the UK in May this year.
Of the new album, lead singer Treana Morris says that she is "very happy with the way it has turned out, we all focused on it and I believe that comes across in the sound".
The American album features the previously unreleased track 'Mary Jane'.
