AC/DC have reclaimed the dot com previously NSFW.
The acdc.com domain was, up until very recently, a porn site. While this kind of salaciousness is wholly appropriate for hard living rockers, the Australian legends have now bought the domain name in order to clean up their image a touch.It seems that kids who have just bought an AC/DC tee-shirt from a hipster retailer were curious to hear what the band actually sound like and have been heading, logically, to the dot com. The label manager for the band admitted that, "The demographic of the band has shifted a lot." He said the motive to acquire the domain "came predominantly because they knew there were a lot of younger fans coming through."
They'll relaunch it as their main site in "Fall 2007" but for now it hosts a monstrous logo and links to their online store and the previous homepage www.acdcrocks.com.
