Krill Win uncharTED

Queenland's Krill have taken off top prize from the 2007 uncharTED contest.

The band of siblings (four girls and a guy) won the contest with 68,538 votes.

They describe their style as '80s style synth infused rock'.

uncharTED is the unsigned band competition sponsored by Tooheys Extra Dry.

Krill have won a record contract from Sony BMG's Red Label and will perform on the Big Day Out.

They received their award in Sydney, performing alongside runners-up Acide Eyeliner and astreetlightsong.
