Chan Marshall, aka Cat Power, plans her second all-cover album.
Marshall has never been shy of whipping up an interpretation or two. In fact, her 2006 album 'The Greatest' was the first full length she's recorded which featured exactly no covers. In 2000 she released a full album of Cat Powered versions titled 'The Covers Album'. Now Marshall confuses her discographers by released cover album number two. She's decided to call this one 'Jukebox'. It will feature Delta-blues takes on songs by her favourite singer/songwriters, although a definitive tracklist is yet to be released. And to confuse us even more, it's not exclusively an album of covers as she'll include an updated version of her 'Moon Pix' song 'Metal Heart', as well as a take of the previously unrecorded 'Song To Bobby', a Dylan homage.
