Legendary promoter Harvey Goldsmith has slammed eBay for refusing to take down listings for the upcoming Led Zeppelin concert in London.
Goldsmith told Kerrang! Radio "I wish eBay would drop dead and die. I have begged them to take [the tickets] off and they have basically told us to fuck off. So I will do everything I possibly can to ruin their lives."Tickets to Zeppelin are 125 pounds face value and were issued via a ballot system. Fans were given a passcode so they could buy tickets. Passcodes alone (ie NOT the ticket) were on sale on eBay for hundreds of pounds.
Goldsmith, amongst other things, was co-organiser of the Live 8 concerts that covered the world in 2005 and has toured artists such as Pink Floyd, The Who, Eric Clapton and many many more.
