Joy Division, complete with deceased singer Ian Curtis, have been requested by a "studio boss" to perform at the opening of 'Control' - a film about Curtis' life (and death).
Former Joy Division bassist Peter Hook revealed "Someone from the film's US distributor's office phoned up saying that the New York premiere was on September 25 and would Joy Division play?"I replied 'Well, the last I heard, the lead singer was dead but I'll give them a ring and see if anything has changed'."
Control will be released next week around the world. Stay tuned to Undercover for an interview with director and renowned photographer Anton Corbijn in the coming weeks.
