Ex-Panic! At The Disco bass player Brent Wilson is reportedly preparing to sue the band for unpaid royalties.
Speaking to MTV News, Wilson claimed he wanted a "fair percentage" of royalties from PATD's hit album, 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out'. He has given his former friends a two-week deadline to pay up, or else he will take them to court.Wilson left the band suddenly in May, later claiming that he was kicked out. The reason given at the time was that he was asked to leave for "musical purposes". It would now seem that the bottom line is the bottom line, with the remaining members claiming that Wilson did not play a single note on the debut record, and is hence not eligible to receive royalties.
He told MTV, "I don't understand why they would say I didn't play on the record. I was there every day at the studio, and I wrote things and I showed [Panic! frontman] Brendon [Urie] how to play certain sections. We had a contract that said that each member got paid individually, so legally I am due my 25 per cent from the record."
