Courtney Love has given Dave Grohl yet another blog bashing, this time claiming that Kurt Cobain "loathed" his former drummer.
Love has long held a grudge against Grohl, especially since 2004's legal conflict over the Nirvana box set 'With The Lights Out'. The track 'Let It Die', from Foo Fighters' latest album 'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace', is said to be about Love and Cobain's relationship. In it, Grohl sings, "A simple man and his blushing bride / Intravenous, intertwined / Hearts gone cold your hands were tied / Why'd you have to go and let it die?"
Love seems intent on getting the last word in however, writing on her blog, "As for that drummer, well he's hit on me so many times. He's just a very very conflicted guy about me, which is why he continually writes songs about me to hear he 'hates' me more than 'anyone else.'
"Kurt loathed HIM more than anyone else (except a journalist). In his will he made a codicil that Grohl was no longer a member of Nirvana. I just ignored the guy and will continue to.
"Dave knows this, and he takes it out on me! Hey, it wasn't MY band and it wasn't MY idea! It's funny he 'hates' me since I don't think about him.
"He's just sub-mediocre kind of [guy] who does this 'nice guy' nonsense. There isn't a word he could he say that would ruffle my feathers, honestly."
Meanwhile, Grohl has found himself with an ally of sorts in the form of Sharon Osbourne, who's described Love as a "has-been". Mrs Ozzy recently accused Love of offering drugs her son Jack when the younger Osbourne was only 15.
Sharon says, "I'm glad [Courtney] doesn't like me. I only pity her. She's a virus. I don't want her anywhere near people I love. The cold hard fact is she's a has-been."
