Radiohead fans expecting news of the next album will be disappointed to know that the website that was going to reveal all is not an official band site at all.
Radioheadlp7.com was thought to be an official site but together by the band. It was running a countdown with an announcement expected when the counter hit zero at some stage today.Today though, a different message was revealed. "The most gigantic lying hoax of all time" is the message posted at the site.
What is even scarier is that when enter the site, it opens up a YouTube page playing Rick Astley manufactured 80s hit 'Never Gonna Give You Up'.
A timeline for the Radiohead album is still uncertain as the band is now finished with its EMI contract.
The band's last album 'Hail To The Thief' was released in 2003. In 2006, singer Thom Yorke released his debut solo album 'The Eraser' independently through XL Records.
