Uber-producer Timbaland has spoken about future release duels akin to the Kanye and Fiddy face-off.
MTV News reports that he would like to go up against his "big brother" Dr Dre in a sales battle. He said, "Dre is my mentor. That would drive people to the stores. Like, 'Oh snap, Tim and Dre!' That would be big."Timbaland said he also posed the question to Jay-Z, who he is working with on the follow-up to the rap kingpin's "comeback" album 'The Blueprint'. Timbaland let slip that Jay-Z said, "The only person I would go against is my other homeboy: my friend Eminem."
There are also new singles to be released from his second album, 'Shock Value'. He plans videos for 'Apologize' and "probably" 'Miscommunication'.
Speaking about holidays, Timbaland also hinted at a trip Down Under. After confirming that he's "worldwide. From Africa to Israel" he quipped, "I gotta do a tour in Australia. I'm there." There are suggestions that he may accompany Justin Timberlake on his October/November tour of Australia, since the producer has appeared on stage in prior 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' shows.
