The Killers have recorded a cover of Joy Division's 'Shadowplay' for the forthcoming Ian Curtis biopic 'Control'.
'Control' is about the life and death of Curtis, the lead singer for Joy Division.The film was directed by Anton Corbijn, a lifelong fan of Joy Division. It is based on the book by Curtis' widow Deborah.
Corbjin, best known for the photography work with U2, filmed the movie in black and white to reflect the darkness of the music of Joy Division.
The soundtrack features music from David Bowie, Roxy Music, The Buzzcocks and Velvet Underground.
