Bo Diddley is back resting at home after spending 11 days in hospital following a heart attack.
His publicist, Susan Clary, said that the 78-year-old rock'n'roll pioneer was released on Saturday, and has had a stent inserted in his heart to help improve blood flow."With his health greatly improved, Diddley is happy to be home with his family and away from the hospital food," Clary said.
Diddley was recuperating at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, near his hometown of Archer. He had complained of nausea and dizziness during a routine medical check on August 24, and suffered the heart attack whilst in hospital.
It's the latest health blow for Diddley, who also suffers from hypertension and diabetes. He spent 11 days in hospital in May after suffering a stroke on-stage during a performance in Iowa.
