Courtney Love has blamed British actor Steve Coogan for leading actor Owen Wilson down a drug-fuelled path.
Wilson was hospitalised earlier in the week amid reports he had attempted suicide. He recently broke up with actress Kate Hudson, which is also alleged to have fuelled a cycle of depression.Love, however, seems to be in no doubt that Wilson's alleged battle with drug addiction is a result of his friendship with Coogan, who famously portrayed the late Manchester music icon Tony Wilson in the film '24 Hour Party People'.
Referencing her affair with Coogan three years ago, Love said, "Under normal circumstances I would not comment but I care too much about Owen.
"I went through it with Steve. I was just out of rehab and he was right there with the drugs.
"I tried to warn Owen. I tried to warn his friends. I hope from the bottom of my heart that Owen stays the hell away from that guy."
