After two years on the road, the Rolling Stones have wrapped up their world tour in London amid the obligatory speculation that they've played for the last time.
The term 'Event Passed' is swathed ominously across the rock icons' online tour itinerary, though they haven't given any indication as to what the future might hold.During the show at London's O2 Arena, Mick Jagger made note of the "fire and ice and storms and trees, and God knows what" that have accompanied Stones on their 'Bigger Bang' tour, thanking fans for sticking by them.
Another tour is certainly not out of the question, especially considering the apparent indestructibility of guitarist Keith Richards. He underwent head surgery in New Zealand last year after his reported rendezvous with a palm tree whilst 'resting' at a Fijian resort.
The band have played 146 shows across 31 countries since the tour kicked off in Boston on August 21, 2005.
