Adelaide "emotive rockers" The Hot Lies finally announce their debut album.
These boys have long been threatening to become Australia's own Fall Out Boy, with boundless energy and giant melodies. Their promise was noted in the underground punk scene and these hard workers debut boldly with 'Streets Become Hallways' EP in 2004.It was on the polished 'Heart Attacks And Callous Acts' EP of 2005 that The Hot Lies cemented their reputations as up-and-coming stars, if only because it sold over 10,000 copies and spent over a year in the ARIA chart. This was due to solid touring with masthead acts like Silverchair, My Chemical Romance and Alkaline Trio.
The Hot Lies have finally polished off their debut full length, 'Ringing In The Sane'. It was recorded with Kisschasy and Silverchair producer Phil McKellar and mastered in New York by Ted Jensen, known for work with MCR and Fall Out Boy. First single is 'Emergency Emergency'.
To celebrate the mid-September release, The Hot Lies are off on a quick East Coast tour.
