Opera maestro Luciano Pavarotti will be discharged from hospital soon, his manager said.
The tenor was admitted to hospital in his hometown of Modena last week after suffering a high fever. Italian media have reported that he was suffering respiratory problems."The Maestro was in wonderfully high spirits when I saw him," said his manager Terri Robson.
"Doctors have now happily given him the go-ahead to leave hospital and resume his summer holiday with (his wife) Nicoletta and his family and he will be leaving hospital imminently."
Pavarotti has been recuperating in the hospital's cancer ward. He underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in July last year.
