UK fashionistas Klaxons have cancelled their upcoming Australian tour after singer Jamie Reynolds broke his ankle in an on-stage mishap.
The tour included a spot at Byron Bay's Splendour In The Grass festival. They will be replaced by a Hot Chip DJ set.Reynolds fractured his ankle last weekend during a show in France, and required emergency surgery.
In a statement, he said, "The doctors say that if I spend the next two weeks with the foot elevated then there is a chance of a recovery without further complications but the result is that we've had to cancel next week's Australian tour until some point in the future. A big apology to all those who've bought tickets for the gigs and just to say how gutted we are to be missing out on this trip."
Tickets can be refunded from the point of purchase.
