Lupe Fiasco has sampled the title track from Thom Yorke's solo debut 'The Eraser'.
The savvy hip hop champ has titled his version 'Us Placers', and the track features Lupe Fiasco rhyming with modern rap heroes Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. It appears on a mixtape called 'Can't Tell Me Nothing', with the all-star trio under the name of CRS which apparently stands for Child Rebel Soldier. Other acts sampled on the mixtape are Daft Punk (whose 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger' appears on the first single 'Stronger' from West's 2007 album 'Graduation') as well a winsome Swede's Peter, Bjorn & John.
This is not the first time 'The Eraser' has had a remix makeover. German electro producer Ellen Alien and Scratch n' Vern have both had a crack at it. Yorke also used Radiohead's 'Dead Air space' website to link to a video DJ Sasha played a thumping house mix at a Manchester club.
In other Radiohead news, the band have joined up with Friends Of The Earth's Big Ask campaign alongside Badly Drawn Boy and Johnny Borrell to ensure Gordon Brown's government comply with their proposed carbon omission reduction agreements.
