Annie Lennox has gathered an all-star cast of 23 female stars to join her for the song 'Sing' from her upcoming 'Songs of Mass Destruction' album.
'Sing' features vocals from Madonna, Sarah McLachlan, Celine Dion, Fergie, Faith Hill, Pink, Dido, Gladys Knight, kd Lang, Angelique Kidjo, Bonnie Raitt, Shakira, Melissa Etheridge, Anastasia, Joss Stone and KT Tunstall.The song was born from Annie's involvement with Nelson Mandela's 46664 campaign to help raise funds for human rights, health care and education for those affected by HIV/AIDS.
'Songs of Mass Destruction' will be Annie's 4th solo album.
"I feel closer to my own cutting edge than before and my voice seems to be in its prime', she said in a statement.'
The album was recorded in Los Angeles, London and Miami and produced by Glenn Ballard (Alanis 'Jagged Little Pill').
'Songs of Mass Destruction' will be released on October 2nd.
