Legendary headbangers Metallica have made more tracks available for the forthcoming 'Rock Band' game.
Following the huge success of Guitar Hero, Harmonix video game developers are in the process of finishing up the more expanded version of the concept as 'Rock Band'. Distributed by Electronic Arts, the game will let multiple players put together a complete band with guitars, bass and drums and try to nail versions of rock classics.Now Metallica have offered 'Enter Sandman' to the game, and plan to make tracks available from their back catalogue for loungeroom axemen and women to attempt. Paul DeGooyer, MTV's Senior Vice President of Games said in a statement, "Metallica has never been afraid to let their fans get closer, and now those fans will be able to inhabit this incredible music in a completely new way."
Other tracks that are mooted to be available in the game include Weezer's 'Say It Ain't So', Nirvana's 'In Bloom', Blue Oyster Cult's 'Don't Fear The Reaper', The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' and scores more. Gamers will also be able to download entire albums in the future. 'Rock Band' will be released at the end of 2007.
