Endearing oddball Kate Miller-Heidke's first album 'Little Eve' debuts at number eleven.
The Brisbane chanteuse, once described as 'Alice In Wonderland who has drunk a little too much of the wrong potion' according to her, has scored a coup with her debut album 'Little Eve'. While the jaunty first single 'Words' didn't even hit the top 40 on ARIA's singles charts, her first full-length album debuted at number eleven on the ARIA album chart.Miller-Heidke, a classically-trained singer, was prominently known to alternative music and folk fans for her ethereal piano ballads over two EPs in 2004 and 2006. Her debut full-length was picked up by SonyBMG and she's had much exposure through morning television show Sunrise, who dedicated at least three segments to this artist previously unheard of in the mainstream.
In support of the surprise success, Miller-Heidke launches 'Little Eve' during four East Coast performances, and has been added to Missy Higgins' regional Victorian dates in July.
