Recently it was reported that a memo had been sent around to the five original Spice Girls giving them instructions on how to talk to the media.
Their former manager Simon Fuller (creator of, amongst other things, the various Idol shows) has suggested they "do not talk about money" and speak of their memories of the Spice Girls with "affection", according to The Sun.The memo also allegedly suggests none of the girls "fall pregnant" (as they are wont to do) - which would definitely hamper the chances of a tour.
The website www.spicegirlsofficial.com has been registered by Fuller's company 19 Management on the 4th of June 2007.
Recently Mel C told BBC Radio "For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumours... it could happen," although she admitted it would only be for "a very short space of time... a final goodbye".
"This year people have been talking about it and some of the girls have expressed an interest in doing it. I don't want to be the person that stops it happening or stops it being a five-piece," she added.
The girls became one of the most successful "girl groups" in history spreading grrl power around the world with hits like 'Wannabe' and 'Stop' and in 1997 they even starred in 'Spice Girls - The Movie'.
Rumors of a reformation have been rife since the turn of the century.
