James Blunt's second album has been anointed 'All The Lost Souls'.
The difficult second album wasn't that hard to make according to Blunt. "For me, there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever," he said in a statement. "Having sold over 11 million albums, I know that the likelihood of doing that again is really minimal. Instead of setting that as a target, I set out to do and record something that I really enjoy, that I'm really happy with. It was a release, in a way. It's something that I can say shows my growth and a development as a songwriter and as a musician, shows development in my own life, and records and documents it in that way."The new album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Tom Rothrock once again behind the desk for Blunt. Rothrock also worked on James' debut 'Back To Bedlam'.
'Back To Bedlam' has now sold 11 million units worldwide and was a number one record in 16 countries.
The first taste of 'All The Lost Souls" will be the single '1973', due July 23rd. The album will be released on September 17th.
