Following rehabilitation, Phil Jamieson has spoken about stage nerves and their new album.
Talking to News Ltd, Jamieson spoke of his first live performance after getting treatment for an addiction the methamphetamine colloquially known as "ice". He admitted that he was very nervous before hitting the stage at the one-off show at Sydney's Metro in Sydney on May 31."I didn't bring my A game that night," he said. "It was good that people really enjoyed it and that's fantastic. I'm a lot more self-conscious than I have been over the last 12 years. I just question everything I do. And it's going to take a while for me to find my skin again. But the band played great."
Speaking at the launch of the debut single 'Black Tattoo', from their forthcoming fifth album 'Alibis & Other Lies', the band said that the three years break since their last album was for their fans as much as them. Jamieson said, "We needed to get out of people's faces for a while. And I had two kids."
'Alibi's & Other Lies' is set for a July 21 release and the band plan a comprehensive tour following their August Splendour In The Grass appearance.
