Veteran metallers Machine Head took home the two big prizes at the Metal Hammer Awards in London on Monday night.
They won the Best Album prize for 'The Blackening', whilst frontman Robb Flynn was honoured by being officially proclaimed a Golden God.The legendary Slayer took out the Icon Award, whilst Heaven & Hell won Best Comeback. Roadrunner Records was named label of the year.
And for the guitar buffs, Slash was bestowed with the title Riff Lord and Bill Kelliher and Brent Hinds from Mastodon were declared best Shredders.
