Uriah Heep veteran Mick Box will turn 60 this weekend.
Box formed the progressive heavy metal band with the late David Byron in London in 1970.The band stands alongside Deep Purple, Status Quo and Black Sabbath as British rock stalwarts.
Uriah Heep had a number of top 40 hits worldwide including Easy Living from 1972's Demons and Wizards and Free Me in the late 70s.
Box's birthday is a double celebration in the band. Trevor Bolder turns 57 that same day.
