Paris Hilton's career is again the subject of a bashing as she is now accused of ripping off UB40's 1990 classic 'Kingston Town' with her debut single, 'Stars Are Blind'.
Concerns about the similarities between these songs were raised at the time Hilton released the song, although it has taken this long for any official word to come from the UB40 camp. The band are suing V2 Music Publishing, as well as Warner Chappell Music and songwriter/producer Fernando Garibay in the high court of London, seeking £250,000 in damages.
The news has come at a bad time for Paris, who is about to begin her three week sentence in the slammer for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
She has also been dropped by her record company, Warner Bros.
