Maroon 5's second album, 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long', debuted at number one on the US Billboard chart this week.
The achievement limits Linkin Park's reign at the top to one week. Maroon 5 also surpassed the record set by Linkin Park last week, whose 'Minutes To Midnight' album sold 84,000 digital copies. This week, Maroon 5 sold 102,000 albums of their album digitally. The Los Angeles pop-rockers shifted a total of 429,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This is around three times the amount the band's debut, 'Songs About Jane', sold in a single week.
And metal demigod Ozzy Osborne rounded out this week's top three with his album 'Black Rain', marking his highest ever US chart position.
