Pop superstar Justin Timberlake has today launched Tennman records, a joint venture with Interscope of which he will be chairman and CEO.
Timberlake joins artists such as Jay-Z (Def Jam), Madonna (Maverick) and Brett Guerwitz (of Bad Religion) (Epitaph) as the head honcho of their own label.Interscope boss Jimmy Iovine said in a press release, "Whenever you have the opportunity to get into business with someone as gifted as Justin Timberlake, you take it,
"We are thrilled to have his label as part of Interscope."
"We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already on our roster and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries," said Timberlake.
Justin Timberlake got his start as part of the boyband N`Sync and upon going solo somehow managed to convince the naysayers that he was incredibly cool, shooting his 'Justified' album to #1 all over the world, eventually selling over 7 million albums worldwide.
The President of the label will be former Sony Vice President Ken Kosimar, who has worked with everyone from Michael Jackson to J. Lo.
