Mike Skinner of The Streets has nearly finished his all-live and reportedly "second last" album.
Via the video blog on his website, Skinner has spoken about his next album. It will be comprised completely of live instruments, including one track where it's just his vocals and a harp with no beats. He said the album will revolve around "stories about people and places that could have existed since the beginning of time." Skinner writes that "All my new songs are really fast at the moment." Only one title has been confirmed, 'Turn Your Life on the Flip of a Coin' which he notes is a 'Dice Man'-type concept where the main character makes decisions based on coin flips. He quipped that his last album as The Streets will be "the one after this".
Skinner has also planned some live shows, including a support with Muse at London's Wembley Stadium on June 16. In late July he will travel through Scotland with UK urban artists The Mitchell Brothers. Then in early August he'll hop on a series of festivals through Europe and the UK.
