Ex-soap star and singer Natalie Imbruglia announces her long-awaited fourth album.
The wife of Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns has been working on the follow up to 2005's 'Counting Down The Days' for the last two years. Footage has emerged of her with a new pageboy haircut in the studio with UK producer and mixer Ben Hellier (who worked on recent albums for The Horrors, The Maccabees, Depeche Mode and the Futureheads). To Imbruglia's dismay a version of her song 'Glorious', co-written with Longpigs frontman Crispin Hunt, has been leaked on the internet. In a myspace blog, Imbruglia notes that the version is an early songwriting demo of the track, writing that it's "both musically and lyrically quite a bit different from the final recorded version of this song - and in my opinion doesn't even compete."
Other collaborators are said to include London-based songwriter and producer Gary Clark (who has written for Melanie C, Liz Phair and Skin), Minneapolis-based songwriter Dan Wilson (who won a Grammy for Dixie Chicks 'Not Ready To Make Nice') as well as her husband Daniel Johns.
The complete album is due out later in 2007 on Sony BMG.
