Sheryl Crow has adopted a son.
At her website, Sheryl announced "I am so excited to share with you guys that I've adopted a little boy. He was born 2 weeks ago"."His name is Wyatt (after my dad) Steven (after my little brother and Scooter) and we are enjoying some very private family time".
"Just wanted you to be the first to know".
The baby is a first for the 45 year old platinum selling singer/songwriter.
She joins Madonna and Angelina Jolie as a major name celebrity who has adopted a child in the last 12 months.
The news will also mean Sheryl Crow fans may not hear any new music from the singer for some time. She plans on taking time off to raise the child over the next few years.
Sheryl Crow split with her sport celebrity boyfriend Lance Armstrong in February 2006.
