The next recorded work of REM member Peter Buck will be with psych folk singer songwriter Robyn Hitchcock.
Hitchcock's new album 'Ole Tarantula' also features as its core band REM touring member Scott McCaughey and Bill Riefin of Minus 5. As a group, they are known as Venus 3."We sound like a smart garage band, to my ears, when we play live," says Hitchcock of his line-up. "The record is a little more tidy, but they still rock, and rock me along with them. This is the rockingest record I've made in years."
Guest include Morris Windsor from Hitchcock's former band The Egyptians, Kimberly Rew of Soft Boys, Ian McLagen from The Faces, Chris Ballew from Presidents of the USA and Sean Nelson from Harvey Danger.
The album is due through Yep Roc on October 3.
