The Foo Fighters frontman spoke to UK's xfm about a new album and their Live Earth slot.
Naturally goofy and guileless, Dave didn't enter into the controversies regarding Live Earth environmentalist credentials, he just recalled that when offered a slot they said, "Of course! We'd love to do it!"Even better that they're joining Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bloc Party and Beastie Boys at London's Wembley Stadium. "It's something that we're all very interested in, and then when we found out where we were playing, we were even more excited," he continued "So yeah, it's a twofer. Twice as exciting."
He also spoke about the follow up to the 2005 rock/acoustic double-album 'In Your Honor'. He notes that they've been recording for six weeks already, with Pixies producer Gil Norton, and have another month to go.
Now that they've got their softer side out of their systems, Grohl insists "we're making a really big powerful record, which I'm very excited about and I cannot wait to finish. I'm not saying I'm not having fun, I'm saying I can't wait to jump on stage and do this stuff, its gonna be great."
