One time potential superstar, now a safe and easy target for the tabloids Lily Allen is set to appear on Chicago rapper Common's new album.
Allen will appear on the track 'Driving Me Wild', giving her a bit of a cred boost as she moves away from pop music and into serious hip hop.Her last collaboration was on Robbie Williams' 'Rudebox' album, although she had never met Robbie at the time. "It's okay, I got a point on the album" she told Undercover at the time.
Allen has also slammed a send up of the current wave of chav-rap, posting on LDN Is A Victim's MySpace "So what if w'ere middle class ? Just cause your mum was too lazy to get her fat ass up off the sofa and make some cash . I shouldn't be able to make tunes yeah ?" and so on and so forth. (sic on the grammar by the way...)
There is no word on a future Allen release. She has been spending time in America promoting her debut album, 'Alright, Still'.
Her American tour was off to a shaky start, with an appearance at South by Southwest in Austin, TX, seeing her rip into British rag NME (on the NME stage) after being denied the cover.
