While not all unexpected, Bruce Springsteen fronted up on Thursday night for a tribute concert in his honor to raise funds for Music For Youth.
The fundraiser at New York's Carnegie Hall included performances from Steve Earle, The Bacon Brothers, Badly Drawn Boy and Pete Yorn as well as legend in her own right Patti Smith performing Bruce's song that she made famous 'Because The Night'.Springsteen performed 'The Promised Land' from his 70's album 'Darkness On The Edge OF Town' and then inited all of the performers back on stage for a collaborative effort of 'Rosalita'.
More than $100,000 was raised for Music For Youth, an initiative that supports music education for underprivileged youth.
