Goofball outr?? pop collective Architecture In Helsinki have shed two members prior to the release of their new album.
The band is now a six-piece (although some may argue that's still too many), following "creative differences" causing the departure of Isobel Knowles and Tara Shackell. For such a wildly creative outfit, we can only speculate that the girls weren't creative enough.Regardless, the band have just returned from successful shows at SXSW. After finishing up recording in America in February, they prepare to release their third album (not counting last year's remix effort), 'Places Like This'. The band held a "name our album" YouTube competition, but after receiving over 500 suggestions, settled on a title of their own making.
The cutesy multi-instrument, multi-vocal group will launch their first single 'Heart It Races' via a May East Coast tour with Melbourne electro-popper Muscles and Sydney's indie-synth kids Soft Tigers. Then they'll head off for a European tour in June.
Tour Dates:
Thursday 10 May - The Zoo, Brisbane
Friday 11 May - The Factory, Sydney
Sunday 13 May - Prince of Wales Hotel, Melbourne
