Available on Friday 5 April the Blu-Ray edition of the brilliant and award-winning album tells the story behind the making of one of heavy metal’s greatest achievements ‘Paranoid’.
In the autumn of 1970, many regard the band’s second album as one of the greatest metal album of all time, is hugely influential and has come to define the genre it helped to define.
The four original members of Black Sabbath: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward talk us through the making of the album, together with the original engineer via interviews, demonstrations, archive videos and use of the original multi-track tapes.
Undercover.fm’s favourites are obviously ‘Paranoid’ (if a little overplayed nowadays), ‘Iron Man’ (getting a boost from the film based on the comic book of the same name) and ‘N.I.B.’ (for the intro alone).
Bonus Features include over 40 minutes of additional interviews, archive footage and new demonstrations.

1. Paranoid
2. War Pigs
