Quasimodo’s Dream, the 1981 classic by The Reels; voted number 10 in the top Australian songs of all time by APRA has now been reinterpreted by Gotye, with Perfect Tripod (featuring Eddie Perfect & Tripod).
A limited vinyl release of this song includes a special collaboration by internationally acclaimed visual artist Patricia Piccinini.
SLAM approached Gotye to represent them as a SLAMbassador after he’d just caught Tripod’s show at the Sydney Opera House. Gotye, better known as Wally, was taken by the idea that Tripod were working with Eddie Perfect on a show of Acapella renditions of the classic Australian songbook and the seed was planted for the group’s version of Quasimodo’s Dream.
Save Live Australia’s Music (SLAM) is a collective of non-politically aligned, independent, local music-loving citizens. The only pre-requisite to getting involved is a love of live music. To date SLAM has had no funding and is run by volunteers.

All proceeds raised go to help SLAM with their fighting fund. Pledge Now Open – pledges close May 15, 2013. Limited edition collectors copy to the first 1,000 vinyl orders. Orders fulfilled after crowd-funding is closed and in accordance with the terms available at Pledge Music.
